Install AI Assistant Module for WHMCS

Thank you for purchasing the AI Assistant module for WHMCS. This guide will walk you through the installation process using both FTP and cPanel. Please follow the instructions below:

Requirements

  • WHMCS version 8.0.0 or higher.
  • PHP version 5.6 or higher.
  • IONCUBE Loaders installed on your server.

Installation Steps

Using cPanel
  1. Download and Prepare the Module:
    • Download the aiassistantx.x.x.zip file from the provided source.
    • Extract the ZIP file locally on your computer.
  2. Select the Correct PHP Version Files:
    • Based on your server’s PHP version, select either PHP5.6-7.3 or PHP7.4-8.1 files from the extracted folder.
  3. Upload the Module:
    • Log in to your cPanel account.
    • Open the File Manager under the Files section.
    • Navigate to the public_html or the directory where WHMCS is installed.
    • Go to WHMCS root/modules/addons.
    • Click on Upload and select the aiassistant folder from your local machine to upload.
  4. Activate the Module in WHMCS:
    • Log in to your WHMCS admin dashboard.
    • Navigate to Setup > Addon Modules.
    • Find “AI Assistant” in the list and click Activate.
    • Fill your license key and configure permissions as necessary for your team.
  5. Access the Module:
    • Post-activation, you can access the AI Assistant module via the ‘Addons’ dropdown menu in the admin area.
Using FTP
  1. Prepare the Module:
    • Follow the same steps to download and extract the aiassistantx.x.x.zip file as described above.
  2. Select the Correct PHP Version Files:
    • Choose the appropriate PHP version files from the extracted content.
  3. Connect to Your Server with Filezilla:
    • Open FTP app and connect to your server using the FTP credentials.
    • Navigate to the WHMCS root/modules/addons directory on your server.
  4. Upload the Module:
    • Drag and drop the aiassistant folder from your local machine to the server’s directory in Filezilla.
  5. Activate the Module in WHMCS:
    • Follow the same steps to log in to WHMCS, navigate to Setup > Addon Modules, and activate the AI Assistant module.
  6. Access the Module:
    • Access it through the ‘Addons’ menu in your WHMCS admin area.

Generating OpenAI API Token

  1. Create an OpenAI Account:
  2. Generate the Token:
    • Navigate to the API section and select the ‘Tokens’ tab.
    • Click ‘Generate new token’.
    • Name your token (e.g., ‘My ChatGPT API token’) and select the API model (e.g., ‘gpt-3.5-turbo’, ‘Davinci’ or ‘Curie’).
    • Set the desired permissions (Read, Write, Delete).
    • Click ‘Generate’ and note down your new API token securely.
  3. Configure in WHMCS:
    • Return to the WHMCS admin panel.
    • Navigate to Addons -> AI Assistant.
    • Input your generated token in the settings.
